The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has taken a significant step in supporting student entrepreneurs by providing financial aid to five promising start-up businesses through its Enterprise and Innovation Centre (UEIC). This initiative aims to empower students with entrepreneurial aspirations and nurture their ideas into successful ventures.

Under the guidance of Mr. Twum Obed, the administrator, facilitator, and program coordinator of the UEIC, the center has granted financial support to Norizona, Trust Adepa, Bola Mall, Kakiiva, and Nomech Auto Services. Each of these innovative start-ups received an amount ranging between 8,000 and 10,000 cedis to help fuel their growth.

The University’s commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem is reflected in its support for these student-run businesses. By providing much-needed capital, the UPSA aims to enable young entrepreneurs to overcome financial obstacles and concentrate on developing their enterprises.

Norizona, one of the recipients of the financial aid, has made strides in the technology industry. Their cutting-edge software solutions have garnered attention and praise from industry experts. With the support from the UEIC, Norizona aims to enhance their research and development capabilities and expand their market reach.

Trust Adepa, another start-up benefiting from the financial assistance, focuses on delivering financial services to underserved communities. With the provided funds, Trust Adepa plans to scale their operations, broaden their product offerings, and create greater accessibility for their customers.

Bola Mall, an e-commerce platform catering to fashion enthusiasts, plans to utilize the funds to improve their online infrastructure and streamline their logistics. The financial aid from the UEIC will enable Bola Mall to enhance the customer experience, increase product offerings, and boost overall operational efficiency.

Kakiiva, a start-up in the beauty and wellness industry, aims to utilize the support from the UPSA Enterprise and Innovation Centre to enhance their marketing strategies and expand their client base. With a focus on providing quality services, Kakiiva is poised to make a significant impact in the industry.

Finally, Nomech Auto Services, a start-up specializing in automobile repair and maintenance, plans to utilize the financial aid to invest in advanced equipment and train their technicians. With this support, Nomech Auto Services aims to deliver top-notch services and become a trusted name in the automotive sector.

The University of Professional Studies, Accra recognizes the importance of nurturing entrepreneurial talent among its students. Through the UPSA Enterprise and Innovation Centre, the institution is creating an enabling environment for students to transform their ideas into viable businesses. The financial aid provided to Norizona, Trust Adepa, Bola Mall, Kakiiva, and Nomech Auto Services is just one of the many initiatives undertaken by the UEIC to promote entrepreneurship on campus.

Mr. Twum Obed, the administrator and program coordinator of the UEIC, has been instrumental in providing guidance, support, and mentorship to these budding entrepreneurs. His expertise and dedication have helped foster an ecosystem that nurtures student start-ups and encourages innovation.

The University of Professional Studies, Accra is proud of its commitment to equipping students with the skills and resources necessary to succeed in the ever-evolving business landscape.
